The B.I.G. Project stands for the Before I Graduate Project. The goal of this project is to create a deeper sense of community with classmates by sharing our hopes, goals, and dreams for college life.
This project started out as a research project into immersive learning environments using augmented reality and create an ‘augmented collective art space’. You can read about the project online from http://erichawkinson.com
It works a lot like taking an online class. You will need to register as an individual or a class with your teacher. Then you will begin a journey to learn how to create AR content around your goals and then explore and support each other in taking steps to achieve those goals.
Courses will be guided over several weeks, after that you will be able to revisit lessons and go at your own pace.
You will complete two mini-projects during this course to prepare you for making a larger third project.
We suggest a pace at about 2-3 hours per week to progress though the course for maximum learning

Project Introduction
The goal of this project is to create a deeper sense of community with classmates by sharing our hopes, goals, and dreams for college life.
The project was inspired by the work of Candy Chang and her project called ‘Before I Die’ where unused public spaces became community art and gave local residents a voice and life to previously abandoned buildings. The walls of this building in New Orleans were made into a community canvas to let area residents share hopes and dreams.
